May 29th, 2007» You, of all people

Yes, I’m not happy about it. Not entirely because of what you said, but rather because it’s you who’s saying it.
I’m prepared for confrontations like this, but I least expected it to come from you. It’s just like what I used to tell you before, when you were complaining about the previous. It’s just that it’s no longer a thing that I can say now.
If you really must talk to me that way, for who I am now, go ahead. It just makes us further away than we already are. And, to say my piece, it was I who cleared the table and went to invite you over. I was prepared to offer my help to carry your stuffs. Following the previous’ footsteps? Yes.
I know it’s unbearable having you to wait for us all the time. I wouldn’t want that if I can help it. Besides, why should you, or anyone else, be complaining when we are actually putting in that much effort for the benefits of you? And you seems so determined to have to show that much “appreciation” by saying those insensitive things.
You made me went speechless then, with that kind of tone and attitude you spoke to me. A decade’s worth of time we had together seems so meaningless now, with that little understandings you spared me.
You, of all people, must do this to me. It doesn’t only angers me, it hurts me.
And, I’m writing it here because I know you will read this.

August 9th, 2006» Happy Birthday Singapore
- 11:27 pm
As the title says, it’s national day. Well, being the dull, boring and crowd-hating person I am, I did not go to the NDP 2006. Instead, I went for a lunch with MWO flautists together with Wang Laoshi (teacher) and Cheryl (Lim Laoshi).
I really missed Wang Laoshi. Although I didn’t really spent a lot of time with her, I definitely learn a lot from her. She taught me flute playing as well as life skills that I will never be able to pick up from texts in school. I missed the way she would talk about her experiences and even her personal life, that may or may not be related to flute playing, as I will always feel so inspired after listening to her speech. Like Sharon said, I also feel very motivated and couldn’t wait to dash home to practise flute after talking to her!
Anyway, I saved my pocket money for days so that we could treat both of them today but we ended up being treated by Wang Laoshi. Good thing Cheryl and Xinhui are thoughtful enough to prepare gifts for her. Think i sort of spoiled the card meant for Wang Laoshi with my uber ugly handwrittings and the not-so-well-thought message (which I half-copied from Sharon and Cheryl’s messages). Blah, it’s the thought that counts right?

April 25th, 2006» A visit to TP Band
- 10:10 am
Yesterday, I went to TP Band for a visit. The band don’t sound good, as expected. Nevertheless, I do feel that the visit is quite an experience. It made me reconsider my opinion about joining the band there.
I’m quite disappointed for there seems to only have armstrong flutes and that the repertoire that night are simple and sight-read friendly.
As for seehua, one of my best friends, who brought my junior and I down, please do not feel appologetic for the band’s playing. We aren’t some snobs who think band that does not play fantastically good aren’t worthy of our time. I know you know me better than that ya? Infact, we are grateful to you for bringing us down.
