April 25th, 2006» A visit to TP Band
- 10:10 am
Yesterday, I went to TP Band for a visit. The band don’t sound good, as expected. Nevertheless, I do feel that the visit is quite an experience. It made me reconsider my opinion about joining the band there.
I’m quite disappointed for there seems to only have armstrong flutes and that the repertoire that night are simple and sight-read friendly.
As for seehua, one of my best friends, who brought my junior and I down, please do not feel appologetic for the band’s playing. We aren’t some snobs who think band that does not play fantastically good aren’t worthy of our time. I know you know me better than that ya? Infact, we are grateful to you for bringing us down.
April 23rd, 2006» Orientation
- 1:23 pm
Last week was a busy, and very tiring, week. It was TP’s school, applied science, orientation. However, the programme is, other than the many many unoriginal cheers and somewhat interesting storyline and theme, really nothing amusing.
Well, I did find out some “educational” facts about the school though:
- Mensa2 Foodcourt in TP has 144 chairs.
- There are a total of 2 BBQ pits in the campus.
- Engineering school has 10 vending machines.
- A painting, “Right Angle”, exists in design school.
As well as some not-so-educational “facts” about the school:
- TP has 30 football fields as said by the CM.
- It’s a 1 km walk from the school to the reservoir as said by the emcee.
Well, perhaps the most important thing I learned from the 3 days orientation is that the food in the brand new air-conditioned canteen in AS are expensive. Which is told by my friend long ago and reinforced again and again by the OLs and CP.
Anyway, despite saying all that, I’m still looking forward to my week 1 starting on monday. I’ve had enough of slacking.
April 11th, 2006» One Year Older

Right, I’m eighteen already. Woah!
I just came back from my mum and mine birthday dinner. Why my mum too? This is because both my mum and I shares the same birthdate. Amazing isn’t it?
To my mum:
“I know you won’t see this piece of message and neither will you hear it, because I’m shy, coming from my mouth but I sincerely wish you a very happy birthday.”
Anyway, the dinner was fabulous! I think I’ve put on atleast 2 more kilogrammes after that heavy meal. It really makes me wonder why all my birthday presents are edible. No wonder I’m overweight! (More excuses)
During the dinner, I received a lot of SMSes wishing me happy birthday. They keep coming in while I’m having my dinner (wow, my friends sure have great timing). Hence for my short and sweet, and unoriginal, replies. *hehe*
So, I would like to thanks all of you who had wished me happy birthday, once again. I really appreciate them a lot!
