I’m feeling nauseousness of drinking too much water already. My throat’s getting worse despite consuming plentiful of water and now even my nose is running like the tap on my water dispenser. Guess what my mother said when I told her my throat’s feeling sore? Right, she told me to drink more water. Eww.
Anyway, tomorrow’s the college’s road race. Honestly, I do not feel like going and it doesn’t exactly help especially when I’m already not feeling well. And, no, I hate being road marshal and be “planted” along the course to guide the runners towards the apparent direction. Being in the sun with a running nose wouldn’t be enjoyable too. Then again, I don’t exactly like the idea of giving the lessons tomorrow a miss either. Will see how it goes. Meanwhile, I’ll continue to deplete more tissue papers.
Oh, and I find what Mr Quek has for us in the college’s magazine, I know I’m slow, somewhat meaningful:
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.”
- Oliver Wendell Holmes
It matters little what has passed, or what has failed in life thus far,
Nor challenges sown upon our path in reaching for the highest star.
But learn from all that has transpired, take courage, have faith in future dreams.
And strive to show the world around you, that success is not always what they deem.
- Kenneth Quek
It’s never an easy journey. Failure itself is nothing to be afraid of, but failing to pick up from where one failed is. And, it is indeed very shameful to have never failed somewhere along the path.
